About us

We are a group of people who share a love of the 1940s – most club members having had an interest in this era for many years. Although we have chosen to portray U.S. Army medical personnel we all have an interest in the 1940s generally – i.e. the homefront, austerity cooking, the music, dancing, the fashions etc.

The 42nd Field Hospital re-enactment group has been built up gradually since 2001 with members from various parts of the country, although the majority being from Hartlepool. The group currently consists of one Captain, one 1st Lieutenant and ten 2nd Lieutenants.

Club members who are able to, meet once a month to discuss ideas, uniforms, clothing, re-enactment scenarios etc. and we have a newsletter every quarter...
